Aromatic C9-resins
Chemical composition
C9 resins are produced by polymerization of unsaturated ingredients of the petroleum-originated aromatic C9-fraction.
Selected aromatic ingredients of the petroleum-originated C9-fraction are chosen for the production.
Function
C9-resins have the following functions in various applications:
- Adhesion promoter
- Improvement of the drying properties (coatings)
- Improvement of the resistance against water and chemicals (coatings)
- Improvement of the rheology, hardness and flexibility (rubber)
- Improvement of the properties of printing inks
Use
C9-resins are used in hot melts, paints and varnishes, rubber, printing inks and other special applications.
