Defoamers
Chemical composition
Defoamers are products with distinct interfacial activity. They are able to prevent unwanted foam building or to destroy already existing foam. Two generally different types exist: aqueous emulsions and oil-based defoamers.
Function
With their interfacial activity, defoamers destabilize the foam bubbles on the surface and let them burst. Emulsion-defoamers show, in contrast to oil-based defoamer, a stronger de-airing effect. Oil-based defoamers are used to act against the built-up of surface foam.
Use
For various demands and applications we offer defoamers based on ethylene-vinyl acetate-dispersions or oil-based products.
